OUR HISTORY

Country Club Media began one late night with a pencil in hand and a quiet kind of rebellion.

​

I was sitting at my desk, creatively drained, reflecting on the direction design was heading. A company I had previously worked with had started using AI to rework some of my past designs to generate quick content. It wasn’t malicious. It was just... where things were going. But something about it hit me. The time, the thought, the intention I had once poured into those pieces was being flattened into something fast and forgettable.

I knew something had to change.

​

So I slowed down. I stepped away from the screen and just started doodling — not for a client, not for a deadline, just to feel connected to the work again. Somewhere in that moment, a small figure took shape: a golfer mid-swing. He felt honest. Grounded. Human. That sketch became our logo — and I named him Rory.

​

Funny enough, I gave him that name months before Rory McIlroy won the 2025 Masters. But the inspiration wasn’t from golf — it was personal. Rory is a blend of Ryan and Cory, mine and my older brother’s names. Cory has been the driving force behind this studio from the start — my biggest supporter, the one who believed in the vision before it had a name. Naming our logo after that connection felt fitting — like rooting our brand in something real.

The name Country Club Media followed naturally. It’s a nod to a time and place that feels deeply familiar — a warm New England afternoon, walking through a coastal town on the Cape, where the signs were hand-painted, the buildings had character, and everything looked like it was made with care. It’s the kind of era where you'd sit on a clubhouse patio with a cold drink, linen shirts and big hats in the sun, and a quiet sense that everything had its place — and it had been designed to last.

That’s the aesthetic we chase. Not just vintage for the sake of vintage — but a feeling. A return to intention, to beauty, to things done well. We blend that nostalgic warmth with clean, modern execution — building brands, visuals, and creative assets that are human, not generated.
